The OBH Council strives to unite its members in promoting high standards among member programs and the field at large. Throughout the year, we share information and work to identify ways to help each other in addressing common concerns including:
- Risk management
- State and federal land management
- Healthcare legislation and policies
- Staff recruitment and training
- Insurance reimbursement
- Public relations and any matters related to improving standards of excellence.
The OBH Council endeavors for better programs and better services that professionals, parents, and clients can trust.
OBH Council Member Programs
OBH Council Member Programs represent the highest level of membership and commitment to the organization’s mission and the field of outdoor behavioral healthcare. Programs must submit an application and go through a rigorous review process in order to join. For more information on joining the OBH Council as a Member Program, please contact us at info@obhcouncil.org.
Friends of OBH Council
The OBH Council is actively seeking the support and camaraderie of individuals and organizations that value our commitment to safety and excellence. The Friends of OBH Council membership is for those who do not qualify for full OBH Council membership because they are not, by definition, an Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare program, yet desire to support the OBH Council mission and participate in OHB Council meetings and functions. For more information on joining the OBH Council as a Friend, please contact us at info@obhcouncil.org.
